3. English Teacher interview day: Thur 1st May
We will be interviewing for a new English Teacher on Thursday. There will be tea and biscuits in the dept office at first break. Please come along and meet the candidates.
4. New interns
Emma Henderson (OUDE/CSW) and Laura Taylor (Schools Direct/PWA/JKY) will be starting on Mon 28th April - please make them feel welcome. Corinna and Paul W have already been in touch with relevant staff regarding the lessons they'll be joining.
5. 100% coursework folders for the third year running!
At 2:47pm on Friday 25th April, Georgia Jones handed in her GCSE English poetry essay, thus putting the final piece in this year's coursework puzzle. We have, for the third year running, a full coursework folder for EVERY student in Year 11. Considering Year 11 is 240ish students from a range of backgrounds and abilities, this is no small achievement. Thank you for all the hard work that this represents.
6. Birthdays
Louise and Nicci both turn 23 on Sunday. How about cakes and nibbles in the dept office Monday lunchtime to celebrate? I'll bake.*
