2. Performance Management
Many thanks for completing your PM reviews (in my absence). If there is any specific CPD training that you would like in light of the targets you have set or been set, please let me know.

3. Open Evening/Morning
Thank you for all your hard work setting up and running Open Evening (again, in my absence). Please remember that today is Open Morning so there will be Year 6 students and their parents visiting the school and popping into lessons between 8:30 and 11:00. If you would rather not have your class visited for any reason, please leave your door closed.

2. Open Evening
We will follow the usual format for Open Evening, with everything set up in C5. We'll discuss precise arrangements in our Dept Meeting on Wednesday.

3. Festival of Ancient Tales / Carol Ann Duffy
Please see David Gimson's email regarding the Festival of Ancient Tales and the visit by Carol Ann Duffy on Friday 3rd October. Cheney students are being given priority and it would be great if they could take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

2. Year 11 Of Mice and Men coursework interventions
Please be aware that we are starting coursework interventions on Monday. Selected Year 11s will need to go to either Louise or Corinna during tutor time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Students have been informed, as have their English teachers and tutors - but please remind, cajole and encourage these students to attend.

3. Birthday list
With so many new staff starting in the dept, we need to update our birthday list and ensure there is cakery and celebration. Please email JKY with your special day (this will be an interesting way to see who actually reads this!)

2. Timetables. class lists and rooms
I think most timetables, class lists and rooms should be accurate now, though there may be some changes to the two Creative Writing enrichment courses as options are sorted out. If you have any issues with yours (are missing someone you should have, have someone you shouldn't have, think a student has been misplaced, etc) please let me know.

3. Year 10 curriculum overview letters
Please be aware that these are being parentmailed home this week. If you want hard copies to hand out to students (esp if you have students who parents aren't on parentmail) ask JKY.

4. SPOT folders
Please make sure you are constructing SPOT folders for all your classes. If you have any questions on how to do this, please see JKY.
