4: Visitor: Caroline Kenny

Please be aware that Caroline Kenny will be joining the dept for two weeks in advance of starting her PGCE in September. I'll re-send her timetable so that people are aware of when they can expect her in their classroom.

5. Recruitment

We are in the process of recruiting TWO more English Teachers for September. We have three candidates coming in on Monday and we will be conducting Skype interviews with some overseas candidates over the course of the week.

6. INSET day: Friday 10th June

The schedule for the INSET day on Friday is:

8.30-9.00 Breakfast in canteen + Tea and coffee all morning in the canteen

9.00-12.15 Department development time – in department areas

12.15-1.00 Lunch in canteen

1.00-1.30 UCAS (DGi) – all Yr 12 teachers in J37

1.30-2.30 Colleges – all tutors + HOYs – Heads of Year will let Tutors know where to be/ SLT meeting – Green Room.

All our new staff for September will be joining us and the departmental focus in the morning will be on curriculum planning for 2016-17.
